It’s been reported that Stade Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila will be joining Arsenal ever since YouAreMyArsenal reported the latter in May. Yann is a defensive minded player whom the Gunners missed last year and could join for as little as £15mil.
BBC’s David Ornstein, who has been known to be reliable on Arsenal news in the past, tweeted “Spoken to M’Vila camp – no talks with any Premier League clubs, as things stand he will be staying with Rennes.”
In the past, Arsenal have kept most of their transfers a secret, take Park Chu-Young, for instance. Nobody knew we were in for him until the day before we got him. This is how Arsene likes to keep it.
The Gunners latest signing, Lukas Podolski was also supposed to be kept a secret but that obviously wasn’t the case as the German posted the transfer on FaceBook.
Most of us are still confident that Yann will be coming to the Emirates this summer but whether or not it will be in red & white remains to be unknown.
Yann reportedly told English Newspaper Express “I don’t know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal.”
